You must be born again
These are the words spoken to Nicodemus by Jesus in John 3:7
if
we are to witness to others we must be assured of our salvation. If you cannot truthfully say to yourself that you have
accepted Jesus Chrsit as your Saviour then take a moment right now and pray to the Lord for forgivenss for your sins.
An
assurance of your salvation is important becasue through witnessing you will be
Leading a person to an acceptance of Jesus Christ as
The Green page in the wordless book
represents our life in Christ
But it also represents
what you with the new life of the one you have witnessed too.
One of the most important parts of witnessing, one that
I feel is overlooked the most, is what do you do with the person after you have witnessed to them
Do you ignore
them if they do not come to know the Lord and move on to try and save another soul?
Jesus told his disciples if you
go into a town and they do not welcome you and your message to shake the dust off your sandles and move on. I know some
people use this as an excuse not to witness to the same person more than once. But I feel and I may be wrong that if the Lord
is patient with us waiting for us to come to Him how important is it to us to love and witness to the same person over and
over again. So keep on keepin on as you witness. Don't give up you are the voice of the Lord keep proclaiming until the end.
Another
delemma many Christians face is what:
If they do come to know the Lord do you ignore them and move on to try
and save another soul?
I think their is a third choice and one Paul used quite often
The Bible says in the book
Proverbs
Train up a child in the way that he should
go That he will never depart
You might be wondering
what all this verse has to do with witnessing
A new Chrsitian is sometimes referred to as a babe in the word of
God They need
direction and training i order to help them grow in their walk with the Lord. It is up us as witnesses to not only only
show the way to others, but to also live in such a way as to teach others.
Think about the example of the disciples
such as Peter and Paul in the Bible. They did not just blow into town, preach the Word in order to bring others to a
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then leave. Many times they stuck around for a year, or more in order to
insure that the new believers were firm in their faith. Then and only then did they move on.
Even after they
moved on to another town they continued to write letters of instruction and encouragment to the new churches and new Christians.
I am not saying that you should take on the responibility of discipling if you do not feel qualified or led to do
it.
All I am saying is that you need to insure if you
have led anybody to the Lord then don't leave it at that, help them to find a church or group of Christians that can help
them grow in the Lord.
One final thought on the meaning of the green page in the wordless book.
It is not only important to talk the talk but you also to walk the walk of a life lived for Jesus
Remember
our defintion of worldliness
may not match up to the Bibles defintion of worldliness
Standardized Tests
I think standardized tests are unfair because they don't test you on what you know and they try to trick you. What grades
you get in regular classes are more important than how you do on some stupid test that you take on one day that you might
not be feeling good.

My Opinions on Current Events
In this column, I'll write some of my opinions on current events. I'll date my entries and update this page frequently, whenever
I feel moved to write. I can talk about politics, sports, technology, whatever is important to me -- because of course,
more people should share *my* opinion. ;-)
